Undergraduate Nondegree Admisssion Requirements: Completion of high school or equivalent.

Distance and Online Nondegree Application Instructions:

  1. Go to: Distance and Online Nondegree Application
  2. Go to ‘Create Account…’ button
  3. Go through the steps for New Account Setup and fill in the requested information
  4. This will take you to a page titled, Distance and Online Nondegree Application for Admission. Fill in personal information as requested.
  5. After you complete and submit the application, wait for an email from the Office of Admissions (be-a-hawkeye@uiowa.edu) that will give instructions on how to set up your HawkID. This may take up to 24 hours.

Graduate Distance and Online Nondegree Admission Requirements: 
1. A baccalaureate degree from a Regionally Accredited Institution or an equivalent degree from another country.

2. A grade-point average (GPA) of at least 2.50 on a 4.00 scale, or the foreign equivalent.

University Records and Documents Fee: 
All Distance and Online Nondegree Students will be assessed a $75.00 University Records and Documents Fee upon their second enrollment session.

Transcripts: 

  • Students are required to submit college transcripts when/if entering a certificate or endorsement program. 
  • Graduate students seeking to receive graduate credit are required to submit official transcripts showing your baccalaureate (or higher) degree
